eLearning in Action Conference: Call for Presentation Abstracts

The 2nd volume of eLearning in Action Conference Presentation articles, is to be published in August, 2013: now calling for conference abstract submissions.

 

The deadline for conference abstracts will be November 15, 2012 (very soon, so get your abstract in now!). While the presentations and subsequent articles need to be supported by relevant academic research, the main focus should be on practical applications of eLearning that augment, modify and ultimately redefine learning.

Last year, over 320 educators, from the Higher Colleges of Technology and other educational institutions in the UAE, attended the conference.

On April 2, 2013, the 7th annual eLearning in Action conference will take place at the Sharjah Higher Colleges of Technology. The theme of ths year’s conference is Redefining Learning and presentations will cover the use of educational technology to augment, modify and untimately redefine teaching and learning, providing students with richer, more personalized learning experiences in the process.

Presentations will cover a range of technology-related topics, including web-based and mobile learning applications, online learning management, ePortfolios, blended-learning delivery and faculty and student/faculty digital technology training programs. It is expected that the use of iPads in the learning environment will feature heavily.

In addition to the conference, the second eLearning in Action volume of articles, focussing on the practical application of educational technology in the classroom, will be published. To see last year’s online version, please click here.
