Samantha McDonald Amara

Samantha have been working in the RAK colleges since 2013, first as an instructor in the Foundations department and, for the last year or so, as part of the Teaching with Technology team. She have a background both in language acquisition and educational technology, with a Master of Applied Linguistics from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia, a Cambridge DELTA, and a Master of Education in EdTech from Memorial University in Canada. Since working for HCT, Samantha have been a Microsoft Distinguished Faculty Fellow and have become an HEA Senior Fellow. Much of her focus now is on instructional design, as well as online and blended learning. Samantha is married with two daughters, and when she is not working, Samantha love to travel, write and practice photography.
