Saleena Rudrakumar

Saleena Rudrakumar, Officer e-learning at HCT Dubai Women’s Campus is a well experienced professional in education technology applications with a keen interest in technology-enhanced learning. In her current role as officer, e-learning Saleena is responsible for supporting faculty and students on the usage of educational technology applications including Blackboard learn LMS, conducts professional development training sessions for faculty and assists faculty members in developing the technical skills required to be able to implement technology into their teaching.

Saleena joined HCT in 2008 as a library technician and later moved to the educational technology division in 2016 as e-learning administrator.

Saleena holds master’s degree in library and information studies in additions to two Bachelor’s degrees – one in Mathematics and a second one in Library and Information Studies. Saleena has over 20 years academic experience working in various higher education and research institutions in India and the UAE.

Saleena is passionate about teaching, learning and research with a keen interest in developing and delivering digital learning resources and initiatives. Saleena’s professional interests include Educational technology, Information technology and lately been interested in researching about how different audiences use and interact with digital opportunities and resources.

Travelling, Reading and Photography are Saleena’s personal hobbies. In her spare time Saleena is engaged in researching and learning about handicrafts and handlooms especially rural arts, textiles and crafts.
