Asra Yasmeen

Asra Yasmeen is a committed Educational Technologist with 21 years of rich experience in purposeful integration and use of cutting-edge technologies for education and improving standards of teaching and learning. She has an optimal blend of pedagogical & technology skills supported by a Master’s in Educational Technology from University of Southern Queensland and an Engineering in Electronics & Communication. In her current role as Specialist, Learning Technology she works closely with faculty to provide consultation & creative expertise in the innovative and impactful use of instructional technology.

A noted proponent of professional development, she has successfully led and delivered various faculty training programs at college campuses and presented at various eLearning conferences and presentations on emerging technologies. Some of her popular presentations are, Bringing learning alive with Augmented Reality, demonstration of EMOTIV EPOC Neuro headsets, InfuseLearning – Empowering the BYOD revolution, iMovies in Education, creating iPortfolios in a Math Classroom. Also responsible for training faculty on Blackboard 9.1 Learning Management System tools and features and other e-learning/authoring tools such as Nearpod, Soft Chalk, Raptivity, Respondus, Camtasia & Snagit.

Prior to joining HCT Asra established and managed her own Training institute “Metro Infotech” that provided training to corporate clients. She also has been a successful teacher and has taught at different levels, foundations, work readiness program and Electronics Engineering. Always very passionate about new and innovative technologies and keeps pace with the latest trends.
